Die Geschichte von Reda beginnt im Jahr 1865, als Carlo Reda die historische Schurwoll-Weberei Valle Masso im italienischen Piemont gründete. Nach der Übernahme durch die Gebrüder Botto Paola aus der gleichnamigen Textilfamilie im Jahr 1919 wurde der Grundstein für ein familiengeführtes Unternehmen gelegt, das für seine raffinierten klassischen und elastischen Wollstoffe bekannt wurde. Reda wird auch heute noch von der Familie Botto Paola geführt. Das 150 Jahre alte handwerkliche Erbe wird mit ständiger Innovation zu einem Produkt verbunden, das nicht nur luxuriös, sondern auch rückverfolgbar und nachhaltig hergestellt ist.

Vertikal integriertes Fachwissen

Alles beginnt auf Redas 74.000 Hektar umfassendem neuseeländischen Grasland, wo 30.000 Merino-Schafe für ihre weltberühmte Wolle aufgezogen werden. In ihrer familiengeführten Weberei in Biella wird jeder Schritt - vom Kämmen und Spinnen bis zum Verziehen, Weben, Färben und Veredeln - von erfahrenen Handwerkern ausgeführt. Darunter sind einige, deren Familie seit Generationen dieses Handwerk ausübt. All dies wird von Experten auf höchstem Niveau überwacht. Ihr scharfes Auge für Details und Qualität hat den Weg für die außergewöhnliche Eleganz geebnet, die das Markenzeichen von Reda ist.
